Michaël Fribourg

Michaël Fribourg founded the Fribourg Family Group, controlling shareholder of Colombus Holding, alongside long-term institutional investors and several French family offices. Michaël Fribourg began his career in Renaud Dutreil’s ministerial cabinet, (2005-2006), then Minister for SMEs and Trade, before joining the General Inspectorate-General of Finances, where he conducted several advisory missions for the government and the Presidency of the French Republic. In 2011, he became Special Advisor to the Minister of Industry, Energy and the Digital Economy, whose office he co-headed. Michaël Fribourg is a former student of the École Normale Supérieure, a graduate of the IEP at Paris and a former student of the ENA (Willy Brandt class); heholds a DEA (Advanced Studies Certificate) in philosophy and economics, as well as a master’s degree in modern Humanities. In 2009, he was appointed a member of the Inspectorate-General of Finances. He is a lecturer at Sciences-Po Paris.
