Pierre Cardin: Future Fashion is the first New York retrospective in forty years to focus on the legendary couturier. The exhibition traverses the designer’s decades-long career at the forefront of fashion invention.
It presents over 170 objects drawn from his atelier and archive, including historical and contemporary haute couture, prêt-à-porter, trademark accessories, “couture” furniture, lighting, fashion sketches, personal photographs, and excerpts from television, documentaries, and feature films. The objects are displayed in an immersive environment inspired by Cardin’s unique atelier designs, showrooms, and homes.
Future Fashion will exhibit until January 5, 2020.
KERING LISTS NATIVA PRECIOUS FIBER LABEL
Chargeurs Luxury Materials is thrilled by having its eco-friendly and traceable wool label, Nativa Precious Fiber, listed by the Kering Group.
This Group – which owns the Luxury brands Balenciaga, Gucci, Yves Saint-Laurent, and Bottega Veneta, and is known for its eco-responsible commitments – has awarded Nativa Precious Fiber the bronze label. This celebrated Luxury Group, which is demanding in the choice of its partners has decided to list the Nativa Precious Fiber label, thus recognizing its qualities in terms of respect for the environment, animal welfare, and good working conditions. This trust attests to the quality of Chargeurs Luxury Materials’ commitments and of its fibers.
Relationships between Chargeurs and Kering, which have existed for over 20 years between Chargeurs’ Fashion Technologies division and Kering, are further strengthened by this new collaboration.
THE NEW YORK FASHION INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY AND CHARGEURS JOIN FORCES
The prestigious university and Chargeurs Group partner celebrating Design and Innovation.
Chargeurs and the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York have signed a partnership agreement to promote the outstanding know-how of Chargeurs, a benchmark in the world of fashion and design. Leach, a subsidiary of Chargeurs within the Chargeurs Technical Substrates business line, will design the visual design of the FIT Museum in New York during the “Paris, Capital of Fashion” exhibition to be held in Paris in the fall of 2019.
This partnership with the FIT will enable the Group to thrive within the prestigious New York University, which is dedicated to fashion and design, through various iconic and disruptive operations organized throughout the year. This reflects the growing enthusiasm of a new generation of designers for Chargeurs’ unique expertise in the fields of fashion, luxury and high-tech visual communication.

Chargeurs Protective Films launches its first 4.0 unit, at the heart of industrial innovation.
By the end of the first half of 2019, Chargeurs Protective Films is to launch a new, cutting-edge technological coating line, which is to be a world first at the heart of the 4.0 industry.
Demonstrating its power of innovation at the heart of industry 4.0, the production line will feature disruptive industrial monitoring characteristics such as: 3D modeling, connected tools, process automation, Big Data management. Integrating a Smart Production Unit will make it possible to continuously streamline industrial management in a smart way.
Ideally located in the heart of a Smart Manufacturing Center, the production line will bolster the strategic position of this industry by offering high value-added innovative solutions.

Review of an eventful year
Within the space of one year, Chargeurs took an important step toward increasing its control over the value chain for technical substrates, working on projects of Excellence through its alliance with Leach, creator of innovative visual experiences for museums, Leach’s portfolio includes such prestigious institutions as the Museum of London, the Royal Air Force Museum and the National Charter Monument in Bahrain.
In December 2018, on the occasion of an event organized at the Louvre pyramid entitled “Great French writers describe masterpieces of classical painting”, the company delivered its first spectacular visual experience under the world-renowned great Pyramid. The Brooklyn Museum, the Fashion Institute of Technology and the Benaki Museum have become iconic partners of Leach.
